The Pakistan national hockey team’s scheduled departure for Australia was postponed on Monday due to delays in the issuance of Australian visas, 24NewsHD TV reported.
According to officials familiar with the matter, the team was due to leave Lahore today to participate in the FIH Pro Hockey League, but the travel plan was deferred after players failed to receive visas in time.
Sources said the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has now booked a new flight for February 5, expressing optimism that the visa process will be completed by Tuesday.
PHF officials are hopeful that the Australian authorities will issue the remaining visas within the next 24 hours, allowing the team to proceed with its tour without further disruption.
