Bad blood claims five lives in Dera Ismail Khan

Five people were shot dead by their rivals over old enmity in Dera Ismail Khan on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


The firing incident was reported from the precincts of Chaudhavan Police Station of Dera Ismail Khan.


Police rushed to the crime scene and took the bodies into custody. Later, they shifted the dead bodies to Proaa Hospital.


The police investigators also collected evidence from the firing site.


It may be mentioned here that a day earlier, the convoy of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman was targeted in a brazen attack at the Yarik Interchange in Dera Ismail Khan.


The assailants opened fire on the convoy, aiming from two sides. Fortunately, all individuals, including Maulana Fazlur Rehman, emerged unharmed from the attack.


The JUI-F chief was reportedly passing through Dera Ismail Khan as part of his election campaign when the incident occurred. After the attack, Fazl successfully reached his ancestral home in Abdul Khel.
