Election Appellate Tribunal set to take up appeals

The Election Appellate Tribunal is all set to take up appeals against the rejection and acceptance of nomination papers from Gujranwala and Lahore divisions, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday  


The tribunal will take up appeals by 12 candidates from the Gujranwala Division against the rejection of their nomination papers tomorrow.


Registrar Election Appellate Tribunal Irfan Ahmed Niazi scrutinized the appeals. The Election Appellate Tribunal comprising Justice Raheel Kamran Shaikh will take the appeals from the Gujranwala Davison.


Saeed Ahmed Bhalli from PP-44, Zagam Abbas from PP-31, Mian Hasan Shakeel from PP 47, Ghulam Abbas from PP 48 and PP49, Ahsan Abbas from NA 72, Ahsan Abbas from PP-48 and PP-49 approached the tribunal.


The Election Appellate Tribunal comprising Justice Risal Hasan Syed will hear the appeals of three Lahore divisions on January 3. Registrar Irfan Ahmed Niazi scrutinized the appeals.


The appeal against the acceptance of the nomination papers of Muhammad Nauman from NA-128 by Tariq Basheer while From PP 191, Muhammad Aqib Majeed challenged the acceptance of the nomination papers of Riazul Haq,


The tribunal will take up the appeal against the rejection of the nomination papers of Maqsood Sabir from NA-131, Muhammad Shabbir from PP-168, Shahid Masood from NA-131, Muhammad Asghar from PP 153 and Shahid Masood from PP-178.
