The Establishment Division has made further changes to the list of officers nominated for the 124th National Management Course (NMC), which is mandatory for the promotion of federal bureaucrats to Grade 21.
According to a letter sent by the Establishment Division to the Rector, National School of Public Policy (NSPP), Lahore, the nominations of seven officers previously selected for the course have been withdrawn, while 14 additional officers have been approved for participation.
The officers whose nominations have been withdrawn include Kashif Gulzar, Joint Secretary Ministry of Commerce; Akhlaq Ahmed Qureshi, Joint Secretary Home Division; Shazia Abid, Commissioner IR Appeal-I Karachi; Shazia Memon, Commissioner IR Appeal-VI Karachi; Hasnain Brohi, Commissioner IR Appeal-II Karachi; Ijaz Ahmed Khan Yousafzai, Accountant Member ATIR Bench VI Karachi; and Ehsanullah, Postmaster General, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Circle, Peshawar.
The newly nominated officers include Mrs. Nasira Batool Jafri, Joint Secretary Economic Affairs Division Islamabad; Ghulam Mustafa Wahocho, Director EPZA, Industries and Production Division Karachi; Nazir Ahmed, Joint Secretary Information Technology and Telecom Division Islamabad; Hassan Latif, Director Finance Punjab Institute of Cardiology Lahore; Farhat Ayesha, Acting National Coordinator SCO; Irshad Hussain, Chief FBR (Headquarters) Islamabad; Muhammad Majid, Commissioner RTO Gujranwala; and Yasmin Fatima, Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue Gujranwala.
Other additional nominees include Shakeel Ahmed Kasana, Director-III Directorate of Law Karachi; Zafar Mahmood Khan, Secretary Services and General Administration Department, Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir; Muhammad Athar Masood, Director General (Monitoring) Home Department Punjab; Aamir Afaq, OSD Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government; Hafiz Abdul Majeed, OSD Administration Department Government of Balochistan; and Ali Akbar Baloch, Secretary Climate Change and Environment Department, Government of Balochistan.
The National Management Course will be held from January 5, 2026, to May 8, 2026, while the NSPP module in Lahore will take place from January 15 to January 20.
The Establishment Division reiterated that the National Management Course is mandatory for the promotion of officers holding Grade 20 or equivalent. It warned that non-participation or repeated failure to complete the course may lead to administrative consequences, including supersession, under the relevant promotion rules.
Participants have also been directed to submit their latest Annual Medical Examination Report (Form-I) to the NSPP. In line with the Prime Minister’s instructions, all ministries, divisions, and departments have been directed to relieve the nominated officers in a timely manner. Any violation may invite action under the Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules, 2020.
