Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik held meeting with Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki in Islamabad today.
They discussed cooperation in minerals and energy sector between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The Minister said at the invitation of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan will fully participate in the Future Minerals Forum being held in Riyadh this month. He said 13 public and private mineral companies of Pakistan will participate in the forum to highlight Pakistan's vast potential of mineral resources.
He said Pakistan will set up its pavilion at the Forum titled 'Pakistan: the Mineral Marvel'. The Minister said the Pakistan Pavilion will be a prelude to the Pakistan Mineral Investment Forum 2026 to be held in April.
The Saudi Ambassador welcomed Pakistan's participation in the Forum and said it will open new avenues of cooperation in minerals and energy sector as there are vast opportunities for Pak-Saudi cooperation in this sector.
