Nicola Peltz has broken her silence on claims that she is ‘controlling’ her husband, Brooklyn Beckham, as tensions between the young couple and the Beckham family continue to make headlines.

The 30-year-old actress and heiress responded subtly but powerfully this week after a wave of criticism followed Brooklyn’s decision to skip his father David Beckham’s lavish 50th birthday celebrations.

Nicola took to Instagram to post heartfelt pictures of Brooklyn celebrating her father, Nelson Peltz’s 83rd birthday, prompting a flurry of negative comments accusing her of keeping Brooklyn away from his family.

In a notable move, Nicola ‘liked’ a fan comment defending her, which read:

“The fact people are in this comment section talking bs about someone controlling a GROWN man is absurd. The guy is an adult and can make his own decisions. Leave them be and stop blaming women for everything.”

The public gesture was widely seen as a quiet but firm rebuttal of ongoing speculation that Nicola is at the center of the Beckham family rift.

In the birthday post, Nicola gushed about her father, calling him “the most loving and supportive father I could ever dream of,” and added, “you’re the wind beneath my wings.” Photos from the celebration showed Brooklyn looking happy and at ease alongside his in-laws at their Bedford, New York estate.

Meanwhile, in stark contrast, David and Victoria Beckham spent the weekend with their own families in the UK. Victoria posted a sunny photo with her parents, captioned “Family weekends make me so happy,” subtly highlighting Brooklyn's absence.

Reports of estrangement between Brooklyn, 26, and his famous parents have been simmering for months. His silence on Victoria’s 51st birthday and failure to attend David’s milestone celebrations –which included a fishing trip, a lavish party at their Cotswolds home, and a family getaway to France – have only fueled the speculation.

According to sources cited by Page Six, Brooklyn has allegedly told his family he wants “no contact,” though a source close to him denied the claim, telling MailOnline, “This seems to be another deliberate attempt to misrepresent the truth.”

Despite the distance, Brooklyn hasn’t cut all ties. He recently posted a sweet birthday message for his grandmother Sandra Beckham, sharing a throwback photo and writing, “Happy birthday nanny xx love you so much.”

David Beckham also included Brooklyn in a tribute to his own mother, despite the apparent rift, posting: “Thank you for always being there for us all. Love you,” and tagging all his children, including Brooklyn.
