Pakistani actress Kinza Hashmi has opened up about dealing with criticism and online negativity, saying that while constructive feedback helps her grow as an artist, hate and personal attacks serve no positive purpose.
During her appearance on ‘Gloss Etc with Mahila Rehman’, Kinza candidly reflected on the difference between genuine criticism and hatred, emphasizing that respectful feedback is far more valuable than negativity.
"Criticism about my work can teach me something, but hate cannot. Whenever I look at social media, I mostly see hate not just for me, but for many people. If you're criticizing someone, explain what they're doing wrong and how they can improve. That way, everyone can become better at what they do."
She went on to explain that harsh words often discourage people instead of motivating them to improve.
"No one wants to hear hatred. If you speak about someone with hate and negativity, why would they listen to you? Even if you speak harshly to a small child, they will stop listening and react negatively. The same applies to adults."
Kinza also spoke about the pressure created by social media, saying she chooses to focus on the opinions of those closest to her rather than strangers online.
"I think social media pressure and constantly listening to what people say can become overwhelming. If your family is happy with you and the people around you are satisfied with you, then that is enough."

Her remarks resonated with social media users, many of whom flooded the comment section in support of her perspective and agreed that constructive criticism is far more meaningful than online hate.
