Negotiations between the United States and Iran have achieved positive progress on issues related to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.
According to the Qatari Foreign Ministry, Pakistan and Qatar, acting as mediators, held separate meetings with American and Iranian negotiators in Doha as part of ongoing efforts to advance dialogue between the two countries.
The Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson said the discussions resulted in encouraging developments, with both sides agreeing to continue talks in the coming period.

Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed Al Ansari said mediators from Qatar and Pakistan held separate meetings with American and Iranian negotiators in the Qatari capital on Wednesday.
In a statement posted on X, Al Ansari said the discussions focused on issues related to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and built upon outcomes achieved during the Lake Lucerne Summit.
He described the latest round of diplomacy as constructive, saying positive progress had been made on several matters under discussion. However, no further details were provided regarding the specific areas of agreement.
According to the spokesman, the parties agreed to continue their dialogue and maintain diplomatic engagement over the coming period. The next round of negotiations is expected to be scheduled at the earliest opportunity following the funeral ceremonies of Iran’s former supreme leader.

"The parties agreed to continue discussions over the coming period, with the next meeting to be scheduled at the earliest possible time following the funeral processions of the former Iranian Supreme Leader."
