Two suspects were killed while four were arrested during four police encounters in Karachi late Wednesday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Police recovered weapons, cellphones and motorcycles from them.
Encounters took place in Sohrab Goth, Gulbahar, Ajmer Nagri and Shahrahe Noor.
Two suspects were gunned down during an encounter that took place near Asif Indus Plaza in Sohrab Goth.
Bodies of Kashif and Farman Elahi were shifted to a hospital.
Police officials said they were trying to obtain criminal record of these suspects.
In another encounter, which took place near Haji Mureed Goth, two suspects were arrested.
They were identified as Muhammad Mohsin Khan and Muhammad Faiq.
Weapons, cellphones and motorcycles were recovered from their possession.
Similarly, in an encounter in Khawaja Ajmer Nagri, police arrested a person in an injured condition.
The arrested man was identified as Ameer Nawab.
Weapons and a cellphone were recovered from him.
Likewise, one suspect was arrested in an injured condition, while his accomplice managed to flee during an encounter near Main KDA Ground at Shahrah-e-Noor Jahan.
The arrested man was identified as Danyal Nadeem.
Police said they had recovered arms and bullets from him.
Two killed in tribal clash in Sukkur
Two people were killed in a clash between Lakhan and Mirani tribes in Chohara Market in Sukkur.
Police confirmed that the deceased, who were identified as Abdul Hafeez and Minthar Ali, belonged to the Mirani tribe.
Police have started investigating the case.
Rawalpindi Police arrest eight fugitives
Meanwhile, police in Rawalpindi have arrested a prisoner, who had escaped from a police van along with several others, and was wanted in connection with a serious offence.
Police said that Abdul Wahab had been handed over to the Islamabad Police in connection with a case registered against him at Sihala Police Station.
The Force has so far succeeded in rearresting eight prisoners who had escaped from the van.
