PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) President Junaid Akbar said on Monday that in light of instructions given by the former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan to table a no-trust motion against National Assembly (NA) Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the matter would be discussed at the party’s political committee meeting, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He said that it would be on the basis of the suggestions given by the committee members that a strategy to table the motion would be chalked out.
He further said the committee would try to know whether the motion could be tabled while the budget session was underway.
Meanwhile, the PTI has conveyed to the NA speaker its concerns over filing a reference against Leader of the Opposition in the NA Omar Ayub Khan.
Sources have told the 24News TV channel that the party leader Asad Qaiser conveyed these reservations to the speaker on the telephone.
He said that the leader of the opposition could not be pressured.
He made it clear to Sadiq that the PTI would face the reference.
Qaiser said it was after the party leaders talked about tabling a no-confidence motion against the speaker that the latter decided to file a reference against the opposition leader.
