Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a meeting with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi in Islamabad, where both leaders discussed the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other important matters in detail.
During the meeting, a comprehensive review was conducted of the measures being taken to counter terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Governor Faisal Karim Kundi briefed the interior minister on the security challenges facing the province and the ongoing efforts to address them.
The interior minister and the governor paid tribute to the security forces for carrying out successful intelligence-based operations against terrorists of Fitna-ul-Hindustan. Both leaders also honored the martyrs of the war on terrorism and acknowledged their sacrifices for the country's peace and security.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said that the sacrifices rendered by the security forces for the establishment of peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are unforgettable. He assured full support and cooperation from the federal government for maintaining peace and stability in the province.
The interior minister reiterated that the federal government is fully cooperating with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to ensure lasting peace and security in the region.
