Leaked concept art from Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday has surfaced online, offering a glimpse into possible plotlines, returning characters, and the role of Doctor Doom in the upcoming Avengers instalment.
The images, briefly posted by a concept artist before being removed, suggest a storyline involving medieval settings, time travel, and multiversal conflicts. One of the most talked-about pieces features Doctor Doom, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr., seated on a throne in medieval surroundings. The artwork shows him wearing white-and-silver armour, differing from the green cloak previously revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2024, fueling speculation about alternate realities.
Additional leaked images depict Star-Lord and White Vision together, a medieval village inhabited by Hulk-like figures, and a Young Avengers team led by Wong, featuring Cassie Lang, Wiccan, Kate Bishop, and Ms. Marvel. Another striking image shows a Black Panther variant, rumoured to be Prince T’Challa II, standing before Wakanda’s Panther-shaped rock formation.
Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell are set to return, with Atwell reprising her role as Agent Carter. However, it remains unclear whether Evans will portray Captain America or another version of Steve Rogers.
Scheduled for release in May 2026, Avengers: Doomsday takes the place of The Kang Dynasty and will be followed by Avengers: Secret Wars in May 2027. With the Russo brothers directing, anticipation is building as fans await official details on Marvel’s next multiversal epic.
