Pakistani travellers en route from Sydney to Pakistan have been stranded in Bangkok for the past two days due to a technical malfunction on a Thai Airways flight.
The airline's failure to arrange an alternative flight has left passengers frustrated and seeking assistance.
Passengers initially waited for six hours at Bangkok airport in hopes of a resolution, but when no alternative was provided, Thai Airways ultimately cancelled the flight.
The airline later arranged accommodation at a hotel nearly an hour and a half away from the airport. However, inadequate facilities at the hotel only added to the passengers' distress.
Several travellers also missed their connecting flights due to the airline’s mismanagement, further complicating their journey. Stranded in Bangkok, Pakistani passengers have now appealed to authorities in Pakistan to intervene and assist in their safe return home.
