Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif reviewed progress on Lahore Development Plan and tasked Senior Minister and Chief Secretary with timely completion of the plan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Chairing a special meeting, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed to set monthly timeline for Lahore Development Plan.
The Chief Minister also reviewed first phase of Lahore Development Plan and also conducted a visual inspection of the projects.
June 30 deadline was set for construction and rehabilitation of 3705 streets of Municipal Corporation Lahore and 230 streets organized by WASA.
July 31 final deadline was set for construction and repair of 1573 streets for WASA Works.
Lahore Development Plan Phase-II includes construction and repair of streets in Allama Iqbal, Aziz Bhatti and Wagah Town and other projects.
Addressing the occasion Maryam Nawaz said delays in completion of development schemes affect the daily lives of the people.
I consider myself accountable to the people and I cannot see myself in trouble, Maryam Nawaz Sharif concluded.
