Saudi Arabia has withdrawn a recently imposed minimum age restriction for Hajj pilgrims within hours of announcing it, restoring eligibility for children aged 12 and above, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday.
In a statement, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) said the earlier decision to bar pilgrims under 15 years of age had been reversed, and the previous policy allowing individuals aged 12 and above to perform Hajj had been reinstated.
The authority added that visas rejected under the short-lived restriction would now be reprocessed in line with the restored policy.
Earlier in the day, the PCAA had announced that children under 15 would not be permitted to travel for Hajj from May 3, 2026, and that visas issued to such applicants would be cancelled.
However, the restriction was lifted just hours later, in a swift policy reversal by Saudi authorities.
