A man was shot dead, and two others were seriously injured in a clash between rival groups in Rawalpindi, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday.
According to police and rescue sources, the incident occurred in the Chontra police jurisdiction, where tensions escalated between two groups in the village of Chhokar.
During the altercation, gunfire was exchanged, resulting in the death of a 50-year-old man identified as Khalid.
Two people, Hussain and Usman, sustained critical injuries after being hit by bullets, officials said.
The body of the deceased and the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for medico-legal procedures and treatment.
Initial reports suggest a land dispute may have triggered the violence, though authorities have yet to confirm the motive.
Police said an investigation is underway to identify and apprehend those involved in the shooting.
