India has yet again resorted to water aggression as it has released water into River Jhelum without prior notice, resulting in an alarming increase in the water level near Hatyan Bala, Azad Kashmir, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Panic and fear have gripped the people living on the river’s banks, while rescue organisations are on their toes to deal with any untoward situation.
Expressing deep concern over the discharge of water without prior information, locals have appealed to the authorities to take steps so that their crops could be saved in case the river bursts its banks and water spills over into fields.
The local administration has urged people to avoid going near the river.
