A youth died and another sustained serious injuries after being struck by a dumper during the PTI’s long march anchoring at Pindi Bypass in Gujranwala on Wednesday, reported 24News HD TV channel.
As per sources, the identity of the dead youth and the injured has not been ascertained by the police yet.
The enraged citizens attacked the dumper with sticks but its driver managed to escape their wrath and ran away from the scene after crashing into a motorcycle.
Locals started protesting against the PTI and its ongoing long march. They also ripped the banners from the dumper.
Slogans of “Ghari Chor” were raised against PTI Chairman Imran Khan during the protest.
The number of people killed during the PTI’s long march now rose to four including female journalist Sadaf Naeem.
