In Abbottabad’s Harnu area, a 16-year-old girl tragically lost her life after falling from a swing ride. Police have arrested one suspect associated with the ride’s management, and the victim’s three friends have also been taken in for questioning, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
The deceased, Iman Liaqat, a tenth-grade student, had visited Harnu with three friends for a recreational outing.
According to details, Iman boarded a single-seat swing ride and stood at one corner, but she lost her balance on the fast-moving swing and fell, resulting in her death. Her three friends reportedly disappeared from the scene following the accident.
Additional Assistant Commissioner Shamim Ullah visited the site of the accident and inspected the swing. He instructed that strict action be taken against the ride’s management for negligence.
Police confirmed that the victim’s friends have been included in the investigation to determine the exact circumstances leading to the tragic incident.
The authorities have emphasized the importance of safety measures in amusement areas to prevent such accidents in the future.
