The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) meeting chaired by Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb on Thursday reviewed the financial requirements of Roosevelt Hotel New York and in this respect Privatization Division was directed to re-estimate funds for Roosevelt Hotel, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel.
The Ministry of Finance has directed Privatization Division to resubmit technical grant by preparing new estimates. The ECC also endorsed amendments to barter trade mechanism with Afghanistan, Iran and Russia. Ministry of Commerce’s SRO were approved by ECC Ministry of Finance.
The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) decided to compensate Islamabad Defense Complex landowners and in this regard, Ministry of Finance will provide Rs4 billion while remaining will be arranged by Capital Development Authority.
The ECC also okayed supplementary grant of Rs 20 billion to Ministry of Interior for law and order and funds will be released in phases in consultation with Ministry of Finance. The Ministry also approved grant of Rs 174.8 million for Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (North).
