Two people were killed and two police officials were injured in firing by suspects during raid for the arrest of accused of murder on Kacha Road Safdarabad in Rawalpindi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to police, police along with the complainants raided for arrest of accused of murder but the accused opened fire as a result of which two people named Chaudhry Sarwar and Ali Waheed were killed.
Police said the deceased were the father and brother of the previously killed Ehtesham Sarwar.
Two police personnel including Inspector Mirza Arif and Constable Naimatullah were also injured in the firing.
Mirza Arif was shot in both shoulders while Constable Naimatullah was shot in both legs.
The dead and injured were shifted to DHQ Hospital where the injured personnel are undergoing treatment.
After the incident, senior police officers reached the scene.
All evidence has been collected and an investigation has been launched.
