Reputable leaker Roland Quandt, in a WinFuture report, cites sources close to Samsung, revealing that the delay is indeed due to "technical reasons" and that further testing of the device is required. Although the specific issues remain unclear, Quandt suggests that these problems might be significant, even questioning whether the Galaxy S25 Edge will ever make it to market.
Quandt’s tone remains pessimistic about the phone’s future, with a couple of posts on Bluesky reflecting similar doubts. In one, he expressed concerns that Samsung might decide to cancel the device entirely, and in another, he hinted that the official images he previously shared might be the only ones we ever see.
It would be surprising for Samsung to cancel the Galaxy S25 Edge at the last minute, especially since the company has already teased the device. However, the lack of positive updates raises questions about the phone's future.
