Elizabeth Hurley proves she can turn heads from beyond the grave in the new trailer for Channel 4’s upcoming gameshow The Inheritance.

The 60-year-old model and actress takes on the role of "The Deceased" in the playful promo, set in a lavish stately home where chaos unfolds as contestants scramble to claim luxury items.

Draped in a plunging gold sequin gown, Hurley delivers her lines with signature flair: “If you haven’t noticed, darlings, I’m dead — which means my entire estate is up for grabs.”

Even lying in a coffin, she manages to steal the spotlight.

Elizabeth Hurley is serving glamour and gamesmanship as the star of Channel 4’s upcoming reality competition The Inheritance, where she plays a fabulously wealthy benefactor—who just happens to be dead.

As The Deceased, Hurley's character has left her vast estate up for grabs, putting 13 contestants through a series of cunning challenges in a bid to win her fortune. But earning a slice of the inheritance won't be easy.

Overseen by Judge Rinder star Robert Rinder, 47, who plays The Executor—the deceased’s trusted legal counsel—the game is anything but straightforward. Contestants must prove they have the wit, nerve, and charm to outplay one another in what Channel 4 calls a "camp, cut-throat game of wit, willpower, persuasion, and betrayal."

“It’s not about who deserves the money,” the network teased, “but who can outplay, out-charm, and out-scheme the rest to claim it.”

Hurley’s character is no fool—she knows people will go to extraordinary lengths for a shot at her wealth. That’s why she’s left behind a series of devilishly difficult assignments to test the contestants’ diligence, decency, and ruthlessness. And in a brutal twist, only one contestant can win each challenge, meaning players must not only perform—they must persuade their rivals that they deserve the prize.

Already drawing comparisons to BBC’s hit show The Traitors, The Inheritance trades Scottish castles for a grand English estate, but keeps the backstabbing and strategy front and center.

Elizabeth Hurley said of her role:

“It’s a thrill to be part of this clever game, playing The Deceased. It all takes place on her huge estate in the English countryside, and she dresses to the nines in every scene.”

Robert Rinder added:

“This is a high-stakes strategy game served with a side of scheming and sabotage. As The Executor, I enforce the rules, keep the chaos in check—more or less—and ensure our players earn every glittering penny left by our dearly departed.”

Get ready for glamour, games, and plenty of grave-side drama. The Inheritance promises to be a wickedly entertaining addition to the reality competition lineup.
