A prisoner serving a sentence for murder in Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district has stunned many by securing third position in the matriculation examination results, the 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
The student identified as Dil Daraz Khan, currently incarcerated at the Bannu Central Jail, appeared in the matric exams as a private candidate.
Despite being behind bars, he demonstrated outstanding academic commitment and performance, scoring an impressive 1005 marks out of a total of 1200.
His achievement has captured public attention and admiration. Many see this as a powerful example of how education can be a transformative force, even within prison walls.
According to the official results, the top position was secured by Aimen Hussain, who earned 1046 marks, while Ayesha claimed the second position with 1041 marks.
Dil Daraz Khan followed closely behind, securing the third spot.
