Pakistan’s men’s white‑ball home series against Ireland, originally scheduled for September–October 2025, has been postponed until 2027 owing to mounting scheduling challenges and player workload concerns, the 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
The six‑match series—three One Day Internationals and three Twenty20 Internationals—marks what would have been Ireland’s inaugural men’s tour to Pakistan.
The tour was formally announced in May 2024 and subsequently included in the Pakistan Cricket Board’s 2025 home season calendar.
However, Pakistan’s tight international schedule—currently featuring a white‑ball series against the West Indies, followed by a tri-nation series involving the UAE and Afghanistan—made the originally planned window untenable.
A PCB official explained that both boards agreed a mutual postponement was best to “balance content and planning better across the two seasons,” particularly with major ICC tournaments looming, including the Asia Cup in September 2025 and the T20 World Cup in early 2026.
