A lower court in the federal capital on Wednesday sent four Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers to jail on judicial remand in a case related to a protest call issued outside the Islamabad High Court and Adiala Jail a day earlier.
The accused were produced before Judicial Magistrate Shahzad Khan after being taken into custody by police from Sector G-14 on Monday.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the individuals were arrested for allegedly participating in activities linked to the protest call.
Police informed the court that PTI flags, party badges and photos of the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi were recovered from the possession of the accused at the time of their arrest.
A case against the four workers has been registered at Sumbal Police Station.
After hearing the police’s submissions, the court ordered that all four individuals be placed on judicial remand and sent to jail, directing authorities to proceed as per law.
