Balochistan Governor Sheikh Jafar Khan Mandokhel called on National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, where both leaders held a detailed and constructive discussion on the political and administrative situation of the province.
Federal Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Magsi and former chairman of Senate Sadiq Sanjrani also participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, ongoing development projects and key public welfare issues in Balochistan came under review. Governor Mandokhel briefed the speaker on the progress of various initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, boosting economic activity and enhancing public services across the province.
The delegation expressed appreciation for the dedicated efforts of Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies in establishing peace and stability in Balochistan—an essential factor for sustained development.
Speaker Ayaz Sadiq reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to the province, noting that “Balochistan is close to the heart” and emphasizing that addressing its challenges remains a top priority for the current government. He added that Pakistan’s overall progress is directly linked to the development and prosperity of Balochistan.
Members of the delegation also commended Speaker Sadiq for strengthening coordination between federal and provincial democratic institutions and for ensuring smooth and effective conduct of National Assembly proceedings.
Both sides agreed to further enhance cooperation between the Federation and Balochistan, with Speaker Sadiq reiterating that welfare and development of the people of Balochistan is a national responsibility—one the government is fully committed to fulfilling.
