Three workers sustained injuries when an election office of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) came under a hand grenade attack in Qalat on Friday, sources said.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the sources in the police said the injured were shifted to the DHQ Hospital. They added the PPP workers sustained minor injuries.
In Turbat, a hand grenade attack at the residence of PPP provincial assembly candidate Mir Abdul Rauf Rind was also reported.
Unidentified persons threw the grenade, which landed in the courtyard of the residence. However, no loss of life was reported, police said.
Also, unidentified gunmen attacked the convoy of an independent candidate Mir Fida. However, Mir and his companions escaped unhurt in the attack. His vehicle was damaged in the gun attack.
The attackers fled as Mir’s guards retaliated. Mir was in an election campaign when he came under attack.
Former interior minister Shaib Nosherwani’s house in the Kharan area of Balochistan was reportedly attacked with a hand grenade.
Unidentified people threw a grenade at the residence of the PML-N candidate and fled. No casualties were reported in the incident. Shoaib N is contesting from PB-33.
