The election commission’s approval of the nomination papers of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his brother Shehbaz Sharif has been challenged, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.
Shahid Orakzai filed the appeal against the approval of the nomination papers of Nawaz Sharif from NA-130 and Shehbaz Sharif from NA-123 and NA-132.

The election commission, Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif have been made parties in the appeal, stating the Supreme Court disqualified Nawaz Sharif for life and Shehbaz Sharif ‘was the mastermind of the attack on the Supreme Court in 1997’.
He requested the tribunal to annul the decisions of returning officers concerned to give the go-ahead to the Sharif brothers, he requested.
