Customs seize smuggled goods worth Rs251 million in Quetta

Customs Enforcement Quetta has seized smuggled goods worth over Rs250 million during a major anti-smuggling operation, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) said in a statement on Saturday.

According to the FBR, the operation was carried out with the assistance of law enforcement agencies and the district administration of Kalat. 

The confiscated smuggled goods included foreign-origin betel nuts (chalia) and cloth, which had been illegally transported into the country.

Officials stated that the assessed value of the recovered goods, including customs value, insurance, and freight, stands at Rs251.3 million.

The seized items have been taken into official custody for further legal proceedings in accordance with the law.
