Two people, including a transgender person, were killed in two firing incidents in Peshawar, reported 24NewsHD TV on Saturday.
The first incident took place in the jurisdiction of Faqirabad Police Station, Hassan Garhi Pul, in which some unidentified mobile snatchers opened fire on a transgender who was later identified as Basit alias Bijli, son of Momin, after which the transgender breathed his last.
Soon after receiving the report, local police officials rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body of transgender person to the hospital for autopsy.
Police also impounded three 30-bore bullets and other important evidence from the scene.
Later, the police started an investigation from all angles. Police informed the heirs of the deceased and will register the case after receiving an application from them.
In another incident which occurred in the jurisdiction of Pashta Khara Police Station, Customs Chowk, some unidentified fire opened fire on a young man.
All the assailants escaped from the scene. Police started a search operation to apprehend the culprits.
