In a successful operation, Attock Khurd police arrested an inter-provincial female drug smuggler and seized 11 kilograms of narcotics during a routine check on a high-speed train arriving from Peshawar, reported 24NEWSHD TV channel Thursday.
According to the police, the search was carried out at the park picket as part of ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking across provincial borders.
The suspect, identified as a woman, was found in possession of a large quantity of drugs concealed in her luggage. Preliminary investigations reveal that the narcotics were being transported from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Punjab.
The accused has been taken into custody, and a case has been registered under the Narcotics Act. Further investigations are underway to uncover the broader network involved in this smuggling attempt.
