New traffic challaning system has been introduced in Punjab including Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to DIG Traffic Waqas Nazir, traffic challans will be issued with complete evidence across the province.
Video and photo will be saved on the spot with every challan as evidence.
Citizens will receive an alert SMS from 8070 to pay the traffic challan. The alert SMS will also contain a link to the proof of traffic violation.
Citizens will be able to see the complete proof of their traffic violations by opening the link.
Traffic Police will issue challans to citizens with evidence across the province from One App.
On the instructions of the Chief Minister of Punjab, the evidence-based challaning system has been formally implemented across the province.
The fair operation of the evidence-based challaning system will reduce arguments.
The modern challaning system will save the time of both citizens and the traffic police.
It will be possible to take effective and evidence-based legal action against those who do not pay the challan.
