CM Maryam decides to cut electricity tariff

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz decided to decrease power tariff in electricity bills, reported 24NewsHD TV on Tuesday.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was presiding over the 26th meeting of the provincial cabinet in Lahore. She said that Punjab is the first province who reduced power tariff voluntarily.

Maryam Nawaz approved reduction in power tariff of Punjab’s power companies. After the reduction tariff will further drop by 30 percent to 40 percent.

The provincial cabinet also approved grant of Rs400 million for Punjab Journalist Housing Foundation for payment to Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) for Lahore Press Club Housing Scheme Phase-II.

The provincial cabinet also approved reduced power tariff for Quaid-e-Azam Thermal Power Private Limited and Punjab Thermal Power Private Limited.

Addressing the cabinet members Maryam Nawaz said that people repose their confidence on Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz). She also extended her greetings for winning bye-elections of Sambrial.

The participants of the meeting said that 80 percent of this constituency is established on rural areas which showed that farmers reposed their confidence in CM Maryam’s policies.

During the meeting, Maryam Nawaz lauded services of Provincial Minister and Special Advisor Zeeshan Malik.

Zeeshan Malik said that people voted in favour of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Maryam Nawaz said that Punjab government will announce an attractive package for formers.

On the occasion, Maryam Nawaz directed to keep “Air Punjab” operational during one year.

The provincial cabinet also approved to start e-buses services in nine areas of Punjab.

The Cabinet also approved transfer of land for establishment of Pakistan’s first Nawaz Sharif Medical City.

Nawaz Sharif Medical City will be equipped with parks, hotels, food courts, play area and urban forest.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed to provide all necessary facilities to schools.

The cabinet also approved special grant-in-aid for heirs of persons who lost their lives in Attock District Courts.

Maryam Nawaz directed labour department to implement on SOPs during one month’s time.

Chief Minister directed to establish charging stations in all big areas of the province.

Maryam Nawaz also approved Changa Manga Wildlife, Lal Sunera, National Park and up-gradation.
