Sanam Javed was appointed additional secretary (information) of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Punjab.
PTI Punjab Chief Organizer Alia Hamza has issued a notification in this regard.
On April 28, Sanam Javed and her husband, Prof Atiq Ahmad, were arrested by police near Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore.
The couple’s detention followed Sanam Javed’s attendance at a court hearing related to the May 9 cases.
Sources said that a large police contingent surrounded the couple after they left Kot Lakhpat Jail.
Several police vehicles were reported to have arrived at the scene, and the couple was swiftly taken into custody.
