The Punjab government has issued a notification announcing new working hours for markets and commercial establishments across the province.
According to the notification, shops, markets, and shopping malls will be allowed to remain open until 9 pm. Wedding halls and marquees will be permitted to operate until 10 pm, while restaurants, cinemas, and cafes can remain open until 11 pm.
The notification further states that there will be no restrictions on takeaway services from restaurants.
The government has also exempted certain essential services from the new timings. According to the notification, time restrictions will not apply to medical stores and petrol pumps.
The new schedule has been issued through an official notification by the Punjab government.
