The Islamabad High Court on Wednesday sent the disqualification case of PTI leader Faisal Vawda to the Election Commission of Pakistan.
Earlier on Wednesday, Vawda resigned from his National Assembly seat. He elected from NA-249 (Karachi). A single bench of the IHC comprising Justice Aamer Farooq announced the short verdict. The verdict said that court could not disqualify a person who resigned from his seat.
Barrister Jahangir Jadoon moved the disqualification petition against the PTI leader over dual nationality.
