Report about illegal Afghans submitted to Punjab CM

The Punjab Home Department has submitted a comprehensive report about illegal Afghan nationals to the Chief Minister Maryam, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The report showed that over 507,000 illegal Afghan nationals were checked from October 22, 2026, to date.

The report further revealed that 366,000 operations were conducted at the public places, 228,000 locations, and 184,000 residential areas were searched.

About 43,960 markets were searched to identify illegal Afghan nationals. The report stated that brick kilns, carpet industry, cloth markets, dry fruit markets, and other business locations were also searched.

The report revealed that 2339 illegal Afghans were caught while they were doing business in Pakistan. The report stated that 698 properties were rented to Afghan nationals and 671 cases were registered against property owners.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed to expedite the process to identify and deport the Afghan nationals.
