Cement sector’s exports and local sales registers positive increase during the month of April, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
According to the data released by All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association, local sales during April stood at 2.516 million tonnes which registered an increase of 7.64 percent compared to 2.337 million tonnes in April 2024.
The cement exports increased significantly by 34.56 percent as it touched 826,457 tons in April 2025 compared to 614,214 tons in April 2024.
Total cement sales in April 2025 were 3.342 million tons. It was 2.951 million tons in April 2024, an increase of 13.24% in total sales compared to the previous year.
Total cement sales (domestic and exports) during the first ten months of the current fiscal year stood at 37.336 million tonnes, down 0.32 percent from 37.454 million tonnes in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
During this period, domestic sales were 29.978 million tonnes, down 5.55 percent from last year's sales of 31.740 million tonnes. Exports increased by 28.77 percent, from 5.714 million tonnes to 7.359 million tonnes.
