Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited National Police Bureau in Islamabad on Saturday to review plan to modernise the Bureau as per latest standards, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During his visit, the Interior Minister presided over a special meeting to introduce reforms in the National Police Bureau.
Addressing the participants of the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi said that National Police Bureau playing vital role for policy-making of the country.
He said that coordination between policy-making, reforms organizations and law-enforcement agencies is very important.
Mohsin Naqvi said that no one paid any attention for betterment of National Police Academy during the past era.
He said that measures will be adopted to bring the National Police Academy as per international standards.
Mohsin Naqvi also approved purchase of research and analysis software on emergency basis to curb criminal activities.
Mohsin Naqvi said that this software will play key role to review and analyze criminal activities in the country.
During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi directed that necessary measures should be adopted for issuance of Police Character Certificate hassle-free.
