A woman was allegedly killed by her husband following a domestic dispute in the Sadr police station area of Faisalabad, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
According to police officials, the accused, identified as Suhail Masih, is alleged to have strangled his 35-year-old wife, Sanam, during a quarrel at their home.
After the incident, the murderer reportedly escaped, leaving the victim at the scene.
Police arrived shortly after receiving information and took the body into custody.
Women's body has been shifted to hospital for necessary legal procedures as part of the police investigation.
A case has been registered on the complaint of the victim’s father, Samuel Masih, and further legal action has been initiated.
Police officials said efforts are under way to locate and arrest the killer.
