Pakistan Rangers Sindh have conducted a major operation near Safoora Chowrangi in Karachi, arresting a suspect involved in illegal arms activities and recovering a large cache of weapons, gold and other items.
According to a Rangers spokesperson, the arrested suspect, identified as Zohaib, was taken into custody during the operation.
A significant quantity of unlicensed weapons of various types, mobile phones, gold jewellery including a chain, and cash were recovered from his possession.
Officials further stated that additional items, including non-functional weapons, ammunition, fake arms licences, arms punching tools, and forged authority letters, were also seized during the raid.
The spokesperson said there is a possibility that the recovered weapons could have been used in terrorist activities, raising serious security concerns.
Authorities confirmed that efforts are ongoing to arrest other individuals linked to the network. The arrested suspect has been handed over to police for further legal proceedings.
