Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has declared to demonstrate political strength on October 18 to press the authorities to announce a date for upcoming elections, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing local government representatives in Karachi on Monday, Bilawal Bhutto expressed his determination not to relent until a clear election date is officially declared.
He emphasized that the PPP stands as the sole political entity in the country advocating for timely and transparent elections.
In his address, Bilawal stated, "If the issues are not resolved, we know the way to the courts.” He also conveyed his trust in the Chief Election Commissioner and the Sindh Caretaker Chief Minister.
Bilawal Bhutto further disclosed that PPP delegations will engage with the Chief Election Commissioner and the Caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh to advocate for the timely conduct of elections.
The PPP Chairman urged authorities to address the pressing economic challenges facing the nation. He emphasized that effective solutions to economic issues are imperative for the well-being of the country.
Former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto also warned that if the Election Commission fails to implement essential development schemes, the consequences will adversely affect the entire country.
