Partly cloudy weather forecast for most parts of Pakistan with scattered rain

A partly cloudy weather with scattered showers and thunderstorms is expected in upper/central Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad, Pothohar region, northeast/central Punjab and Sindh. Weather will remain dry in other parts of the country, according to the Met Office.

ISLAMABAD: A partly cloudy weather with scattered showers and thunderstorms is expected in Islamabad and its surrounding areas. Heavy rain/hail may also occur at a few places during this period.

KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA: There are chance of heavy rain and thunderstorm in Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Mardan, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Kohat, Nowshera, Swabi, Khyber, Orakzai, Hangu, Karak, Bannu, Waziristan and Kurram. During this period, hailstorm may also occur at a few places.

PUNJAB: Rain with strong winds and thunderstorm is expected in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Hafizabad, Wazirabad and Khushab. In the evening/night hours, rain with strong winds and thunderstorm is likely in Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Jhang and surrounding areas. During this period, hailstorm may also occur at a few places.

BALOCHISTAN: The weather will remain hot and dry in most districts of the province. However, there is a possibility of strong winds and thunderstorms in the coastal areas of Lasbela, Awaran and Makran.

SINDH: The weather is likely to remain hot and dry in most districts of the province. However, Badin, Sujawal, Karachi, Thatta and surrounding areas will remain partly cloudy, and there is a possibility of strong winds and thunderstorms at a few places.

KASHMIR AND GILGIT-BALTISTAN: Apart from cloudy weather, there is a possibility of rain with strong winds and thunderstorms in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Today (night): Wind/surge and thunderstorms at some places in lower Sindh may affect daily routines, and damage weak infrastructure (mud houses/walls, electricity poles, billboards, vehicles, solar panels, etc.).
