Lahore police have successfully recovered a two-day-old baby abducted from the nursery of Lahore General Hospital earlier this week, arresting the prime suspect involved in the crime, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday.
According to a spokesperson for the DIG Operations, the incident took place on Monday when two unidentified women allegedly kidnapped the newborn.
A case was registered at the request of the baby’s father, Afzal, against the unknown suspects.
Following the incident, a special police team was constituted to trace and apprehend the culprits.
The investigation relied heavily on modern forensic techniques, CCTV footage, and advanced technology to track the suspects.
The coordinated efforts of the operations and investigation wings led to the safe recovery of the baby.
Police confirmed that one of the main suspects has been arrested.
DIG Operations Faisal Kamran praised SP Model Town Ikhlaqullah Tarar and the entire police team for their swift and effective response, which ensured the safe return of the child to his family.
