The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province is witnessing deepening divisions, with former provincial minister Taimur Jhagra openly challenging Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel report, Jhagra has expressed his strong discontent with the party’s Internal Accountability Committee and released his written response on social media.
Meanwhile, PTI KP Information Secretary Adeel Iqbal has acknowledged the party's internal conflicts but assured that these are temporary differences that will be resolved soon.
Sources reveal serious tensions between Babar Saleem Swati and Azam Swati, as Azam Swati has accused the KP Assembly Speaker of illegal actions.
Additionally, reconciliation between the PTI leader Atif Khan and Chief Minister (CM) Ali Amin Gandapur remains unsuccessful.
In another development, several party leaders are actively working to remove Information Adviser Barrister Saif from the cabinet, citing his statements against party policy.
Former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser is also displeased with CM Gandapur, alleging that he was ignored in discussions with Pir Pagara and other political figures.
Furthermore, Junaid Akbar has reportedly removed several of Gandapur’s close allies from the provincial cabinet, further escalating internal tensions.
PTI's provincial leadership in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remains divided, with party insiders suggesting that rivalries and power struggles could impact its political stability.
