Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has said that PTI founder was concerned over economic condition of the country therefore Imran Khan was ready for talks for the sake of the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to media outside Adiala Jail on Saturday after meeting with Imran Khan, Gandapur said that PTI founder has always called for talks and had also constituted a committee in this regard.
KP CM claimed, “as he was holding key position in the party, therefore I have contacts with the establishment, there are discussions, but nothing concrete has come out yet”.
He said, “the federal government says to negotiate with us, but we say that you are not the government”.
Talking about May 9 incidents, KP CM said, "PTI was ready to apologize, but first prove them wrong." He said “May 9 was not our fault, it was a pre-planned act”.
He said, “sit here and talk, prove my mistake, I will apologize for my mistake”. He said PTI was mistreated. He added that “If it is your fault and I am asked to apologize, it will not happen”, adding that “only to satisfy your ego”. He demanded TORs for talks so that they can put up their concerns in front of each other. He said during the “talks if the reservations are discussed, the problem will be solved.”
Gandapur said that Imran Khan was committed to his vision which cannot be comprised and imprisoned. He said the nation stood up for rule of law and the constitution and for self-reliance.
He urged the nation to prove that they stand with the ideology by fully participating in the rally on August 5. He said PTI mandate was stolen. Fascistt policies were being practices in Punjab. PTI was not given Form 45, while Form 47 holders were sitting in the assemblies.
He said that PTI founder has very early told his team said that “I will be attacked, it will be given a religious color and PTI will be dissolved”.
He said the ceasefire has taken place in Para Chinar area in KP, there was a land dispute between two groups but unluckily it was being given a religious touch which was not correct. He said that we will fight for peace and will sacrifices for it as earlier.
He said that Sher Afzal was issued notices on the orders of Imran Khan. He claimed that party matters should be discussed within the party. He had advised Sher Afzal that party issues should not be discussed on social media.
