The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has finalised its nationwide protest strategy for August 5, with demonstrations set to be held under the banner of the Movement for the Protection of the Constitution of Pakistan.

According to party sources, all PTI members of the National Assembly and Senate have been summoned to Islamabad, where they will hold a protest outside Adiala Jail, the facility where party founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has been incarcerated for the past two years.

Meanwhile, PTI members of provincial assemblies will stage simultaneous protests in their respective constituencies, ensuring province-wide participation. The protest plan was finalised following comprehensive consultations between the central leadership and the provincial presidents and chief organisers, party officials said.

PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja will oversee and supervise the protest campaign directly. The protest schedule has already been conveyed to party leadership by senior officials from Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Punjab, while all ticket holders have been placed on high alert.

Provincial presidents and coordinators will remain in constant contact with the central leadership to ensure coordination and discipline during the protests.

The move comes amid heightened political tensions and growing calls from PTI for the release of Imran Khan and the restoration of constitutional norms in the country.
