A woman breathed her last after being brutally tortured by her husband and his family in Ferozewala near Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV on Monday.
The incident occurred in Mian Colony, Dogar Chowk, within the jurisdiction of the Factory Area Police Station in Ferozewala.
The heirs of the woman said that her husband invited her for reconciliation four days ago but later tortured her black and blue. The woman was identified as Anam, who was 22 years old and a mother of two children.
They further alleged that when they brought the girl to their house, signs of severe physical torture were visible on her body, but her in-laws denied all the charges and said that their daughter died naturally.
The heirs of the deceased said that they immediately contacted the Police Helpline 15 and informed them about the incident.
A heavy contingent of police reached the spot and took custody of the woman’s dead body and shifted it to the hospital for autopsy.
