A journalist was killed and another person seriously injured when gunmen opened fire at T-Chowk in Dera Allah Yar, police said.
The deceased was identified as Nazar Ali Kundrani, a journalist from Sohbatpur, while Parvez Ahmed Kundrani sustained serious injuries.
Police launched an immediate operation and arrested one suspect, identified as Hafeez Kundrani.
The body and the injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Dera Allah Yar.
Police said the shooting appeared to be linked to an alleged land dispute. Further investigation is underway.
